familiarity with plant dcs and plant historians.which lead in delivering accuracy, including oil & gas, productivity, power generation, its portfolio includes six major product lines, transprotation and healthcare, safety, and bottom-line benefits to customers in many indutsries, aerospace.commissioning and maintenance on customer owned power generation and indutsrial faciilties (power generation includes customer owned utilities, mairne drives, industrial power plants and nuclear power plants utilizing gas and staem turibnes; industrial facilities include power generation, marine, petrocehmical, paepr, steel, autoomtive and transportation industries)
preapre job-planning docuemnts that deifne the control sytsem scpoe of the ouatge
utiilze prolbem solivng skills, and proecss instrcutions for staem/gas turibne commissioning and start-up, loop checks and system tests during startup, drawings, engineering instructions,
provide on-site technical direction on control systems.
provide input for daily outage and weekly installation reports.
communicate effectively with service managers and site leaders on job planning and execution and site arrivals, departures and job progression
provide leadership and technical direction to skilled labor performing work on customer sites
maintain strong safety mindset to assure the executed work reflects the technical requirements within ge safety standards
possess technical capacity to troubleshoot and provide routine maintenance checkout for a wide range of equipment/ge system vintages
prepare timely and accurate technical reports for customer records and a reference for future outages
troubleshoot control operations and maintenance problems in the steam and/or gas turbine technologies
qualifications/requirements
bachelor\'s degree in electrical/ computer engineering or computer science
ability to work effectively with minimum supervision
boundless solution seeker to find solutions to resolve customer issues, considering ge-wide product portfolio. with offices in 60+ countries and approximately 7000 employees worldwide, it is a truly global business.
prior field engineering experience with controls system is preferred
advanced skills in microsoft office suite, project management and web-based applications
six sigma green belt certified (ge employees only).
strong organizational and project management skills (prior experience preferred)
exceptional oral and written communication skills
solid interpersonal and leadership skills
willingness and ability to travel significantly with no geographical restrictions
must have ability to perform night work as required to meet business needs
self-starter for new technologies and new applications.
