job function qct\'s software customer engineering supports customers with understanding, integrating, testing and optimizing performance of software features for asics supporting a variety of air interfaces and other related technologies including multimedia. windows phone or linux framework experience/knowledge is a plus,
android.qualcomm is seeking the best candidates available for this technical supoprt position. supporting 3d graphics cusotmer on various platforms including android, it is a very challenging position requiring the candidate to learn and internalize qct software and operation concepts very quickly, bada and feature phones, windows phone.publishing application notes are some of the key daily activities in this role, system debugging, assisting customers with software integration, and training, development.
skills/experience strong c/c++ programming and debugging skills
experience in developing with 3d and/or 2d graphics apis, ideally opengl es/desktop open gl/direct3d
knowledge in gpgpu, opencl is a plus
software integration, optimization and debugging on embedded targets. some traevls for on-site customer support are reqiured.the role reqiures interafcing with hansdet deveolpers, base-staiton inetr-operaiblity tesitng partners and wireless carriers.
professional experience of customer interaction as a technical support role as well as development work
responsibilities
education requirements electrical engineering or computer science degree is required and minimum 4 years of industry experience is required. strong initiative,
strong korean/english communication skills - able to understand and explain highly technical information in a clear and concise manner
strong interpersonal skills, self starter.acting as the key liaison between qct engineering and customers, customer engineers interact with marketing, test engineering and sales to ensure customer products are received favorably and on time in the marketplace.
experience with mobile handset development is preferred. master\'s degree preferred.
