Monitors, evaluates, and maintains systems and procedures to safeguard internal information systems and databases. Researches, recommends, and implements changes to enhance systems security. Educates and communicates security requirements and procedures to all users and new employees.
The position will be responsible for a variety of Information Assurance tasks, to include the following:
- Vulnerability Scanning and Remediation (Retina, WebInspect, Patchlink, etcâ?¦)
- VMS (Vulnerability Management System) administration
- HBSS administration (Host Based Security System)
- Security Audits
- IAVA Compliance
- STIG Policy reviews and implementation
- DAU Policy drafts and enforcement
- Software evaluations and approvals
- Websense Administration
- IA Training
- Cyrto Login Management (CAC, Tumbleweed, etcâ?¦)
- Network Accreditation documentation and management
- Security Incident Response to include evaluation, remediation and reporting
The candidate should possess the following experience:
- Must have 3+ years experience in IA technology or related area
- IAT Level II (GSEC, Security +, SCNP, SSCP) - IAT Level III preferred, but should be IAT Level II at a minimum
- Must have Vulnerability Scanning experience
- Must have experience doing policy drafts and enforcement
- Must have experience providing technical support services to government clients
- Must have IA training experience
- Must have VMS experience
- Must have software evaluations and approvals experience
The candidate must possess the following experience:
- Expert in all functions of IAT Level I and Level II
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Previous experience with firewalls and IPS is a must as that will be one of the primary responsibilities
- Ability to recreate, troubleshoot, identify and resolve security issues effectively
- Must be detail oriented and be able to work towards completing tasks on schedule
- Applies extensive knowledge of a variety of the IA field\'s concepts, practices, and procedures to ensure the secure integration and operation of all enclave systems.
The candidate must possess the following experience:
- Expert in all functions of IAT Level I and Level II
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Previous experience with firewalls and IPS is a must as that will be one of the primary responsibilities

All candiates must currently hold a national security clearance and a polygraph.
