job function this position is responsible for helping our customers commercialize gps/agps devices.
responsibilities prior experience with portable hand-held devices and technical support for custmoers desirable.
qualcomm cdma technologies (qct) is the largest provider of 3g chipset and software technology in the world, with chipsets shipped to more than 50 customers and powering the majority of all 3g devices commercially available. the role requires interfacing with handset developers, base-station partners and wireless carriers. and must be a self-starter,
skills/experience key sklils required:
gps and other gnss development and commercialization experience is needed
knowledge and/or implementation experience on location based e911 and supl is a plus
strong software debugging skills on embedded real time operating systems
strong experience in c/c++ programming
embedded software development experience is a must
demonstrated expertise with tools and techniques used in debugging
the candidate is expected to have storng communciation and interpresonal skills, high motiavtion, abiilty to leran quikcly.sytsem debugging, hanlding cusotmer q&a, assitsing customers with software design, development, and interfacing closely with internal developers are some of the key activities in this position, integration, training.
ability to work as part of a dedicated project team and independently essential.
education requirements required: bachelor\'s, computer science and/or electrical engineering
preferred: master\'s, computer science and/or electrical engineering.the candidate will be responsible for driving oem designs and the assisting oems in the integration of our offering into commercial handsets and devices.
embedded or wireless system software development and integration on telecommunications devices. qct partners with nearly 60 3g network operators around the globe and has the largest cdma engineering team in the wireless industry.arm assembly, emulators/jtag-debuggers, umts/gsm test equipment such as spirent/agilent & logging tools an advantage,
familiarity with arm architecture.
