Perform analysis, design and development of computer software required to support hardware or technical service products. Reviews system architecture, and selects and implements appropriate development and support tools to ensure product performance. Test and debug related software.
Perform direct support of mission objectives by transforming urgent mission requirements into software solutions. Analyze fluid mission environment requirements and design, verify, validate, implement, apply, and maintain software systems to meet both immediate and long term needs. Appropriately apply engineering and computer science principles in a team environment to integrate existing capabilities into a larger mission systems modernization architecture. Generalize techniques, as appropriate, to ensure scalability and supportability of software solutions. Develop and provide appropriate documentation and training. Present briefings and demonstrations to stakeholders. Prefer Computer Science degree or equivalent training/work experience with emphasis in software engineering.
Unix/Linux system administration skills (Samba/LDAP/X.500) and advanced experience with scripting languages (e.g. Python, Perl, csh/bash). Knowledgeable in PKI technology, server certs, and certificate paths, as well as real-time monitoring/alerting techniques.
Extensive knowledge of intelligence data sets (e.g. USMTF, CSOR/USSID, etc) and applications with advanced experience with the extraction â?\" transform â?\" load process. Hands-on advanced experience in the real-time ingestion of massive and diverse data sets within high performance large data computing nodes, including design and implementation of processes for real-time monitoring and alerting.
Extensive experience in designing and building real-time large scale software systems. Extensive knowledge and strong skills in Javascript, Web 2.0 technologies (Spring, jQuery, ExtJS, DoJo, AJAX, CSS, DOM, HTML), Java, J2EE, Java network programming, Java threading, Hibernate, Java persistence API, scripting languages, and parsing of diverse data feeds. Strong skills in developing and deploying SOAP and RESTful services. Experience with Web mapping services. Familiarity with RSS and SMTP systems/protocols, unstructured and structured data processing, including commercial entity extractors. Familiarity with database optimization techniques and working knowledge of cloud architectures, HDFS, HADOOP, and map reduce.
Requires a minimum of 8 years experience with a bachelorâ?Ts degree or 5 years experience with a masters/doctorate degree.
Clearance: Candidate must possess National Security clearance with Full Scope Polygraph.
